Robert's Line
The full line of the stag, from the Conquest to the fall. House Baratheon begins with Orys Baratheon, Aegon the Conqueror's fiercest general and rumored half-brother, who slew the last Storm King and took his daughter, castle, and sigil. Near three hundred years later the two lines crossed again: Ormund Baratheon wed Rhaelle Targaryen, daughter of King Aegon V — the dragon's blood that gave their grandson Robert his claim to the Iron Throne. It also made Robert and Rhaegar cousins: the same Aegon V was great-grandfather to the prince Robert killed at the Trident. The rebellion was, among everything else, a family quarrel.

Robert's true descendants sit outside the lawful tree entirely. He fathered many natural children across the realm — sixteen by one accounting — and every one of them carried the unmistakable Baratheon stamp: coal-black hair, blue eyes, and the strength of the stag. Set against three golden-haired royal "heirs," that resemblance became the evidence that unraveled the queen's secret. These are the known names:
Robert's firstborn, from his youth in the Vale — a mule-tender on the mountain road to the Eyrie. The only child he was ever said to have truly doted on, before the crown swallowed him.
His only acknowledged bastard, born of Delena Florent — conceived, scandalously, in Stannis's own wedding bed. Raised a lord's son at Storm's End, with his father's build and his mother's ears.
An armorer's apprentice on the Street of Steel, strong enough to bend steel and stubborn enough to match his father — who never knew he existed. Both Hands of the King found him while following the trail of Robert's blood.
Reading the Tree
The tree tells the tragedy at a glance. Follow the gold: the legitimate line runs from a Targaryen princess to a crowned king — and then stops. Everything below Robert in the lawful chart is drawn in Lannister crimson, because the dynasty's official future was a lie from the first cradle. Meanwhile the true continuation of his blood, drawn in dashed parchment, stands off the chart entirely: unacknowledged, scattered, and hunted once the lie needed protecting. House Baratheon of King's Landing was a dynasty of one.
