The middle of the three royal children, gentler by far than her brother and, by every account, genuinely kind — a decency that came from nowhere obvious in either bloodline. She was raised as Robert's daughter and was not, though of all three she is the one who least deserved what the secret would cost.
In a court built on a lie, she was one of the few people not telling it. That did not protect her; in Westeros it rarely does.
