Joffrey Baratheon

Joffrey was raised as the crown prince, called Baratheon, and carried none of Robert's blood at all — golden-haired where every true stag for three centuries had been black of hair, which was the loose thread Jon Arryn finally pulled. Robert did not much like the boy and made little secret of it, though he never suspected the actual reason.

He inherited his mother's cruelty without her intelligence and none of the loud, ruinous warmth that made Robert forgivable. The kingdom Robert had ignored into fragility passed to a child who would take a hammer to what remained of it.
