Born in the Vale while Robert was still a boy in Jon Arryn's care, Mya grew up guiding mules and travellers along the treacherous paths beneath the Eyrie — sure-footed, blunt, and entirely unbothered by the man who fathered her. She has his black hair and his blue eyes and no interest whatsoever in his throne.
The accounts agree that Robert genuinely loved her as an infant, which makes it worse rather than better that he left her where she was and did not come back. Of all the children in this story, the one he actually cared for is the one he never claimed.
