Hoster Tully's eldest daughter was promised to Brandon Stark and married Eddard instead, inheriting her dead betrothed's brother along with his title. That marriage bought the riverlands for the rebellion; it is one of two weddings that paid for Robert's throne.
She made a real marriage out of an arrangement, which is more than Robert ever managed. The contrast is not subtle: two men took the wives the war handed them, and only one of them bothered to try.
